About Dani Dixon
Dani Dixon is an author, comic book creator and the founder of media company, TUMBLE CREEK PRESS. Dani has published 21 books to date, 8 in 2021 alone, with a dozen more slated for 2022. Dani is a storyteller first and foremost. She writes across genres and age groups, principally led by story and the desire to “expand where people of color see themselves, and are seen.”
Dani’s comic book series include the superpowered saga “13”, workplace comedy “M.I.S.//ing”, and her latest, “Matilde’s Monsters”, a horror coming-of-age tale. Her novels range from the legal family drama series “Munroe & Hillstead”, to the YA fantasy series “Five Nations.” She’s also created a slew of early education and activity books for children.
Dani speaks around the country on topics such as diversity and representation in media, marketing for independent artists, and women in science fiction. She has spoken at the Writers Guild of America about the influence of comic books on Hollywood and regularly consults on comic book adaptations. Dani has been asked to weigh in on everything from pop culture to how to make it in the publishing industry on dozens of panels, many at the biggest conventions in North America, including Comic-Con International (125k+ attendees), WonderCon (40k+), Stan Lee’s Comikaze (45k) and FanX (120k+
